A little bit about Mr. Braski

Mr. Braski serves as the STREAM Instructor and leads the Robotics, Rockets, DREAMS, and Drone programs at Donovan Catholic School. Continuing a proud family legacy in science education, he brings a deeply rooted DIY maker mentality to the classroom. He is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators by bridging theoretical concepts with practical, hands-on  / "minds on" problem-solving in his "thinking" classroom.

Donovan students won the NASA-sponsored LEARNsat challenge to design and fabricate an aerospace payload that will actually fly to space!  This milestone is part of his broader mission to establish Donovan as host for regional innovative events featuring AI, autonomous systems, swarms & mechatronics. Whether mentoring the FTC robotics team or the RECF Aerial Drone Competition, helping build props and decorations for holidays and local productions, Mr. Braski teaches his students to design and engineer using advanced 3D fabrication technologies alongside a wide array of commercial and industrial off-the-shelf components.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Braski applies his engineering mindset to urban homesteading in the Athens area. He and his wife, Cyndi Lynn, share a passion for backyard gardening—cultivating vegetables and flowers—and keeping chickens, ducks & bees. Alongside their children, he enjoys tackling DIY projects and home automation, sharing their busy homestead with their princess poodle, Ruby, a blue Russian Barnum, and two tabbies, Peaches & Rosie.
