A little bit about Mr. Morrison
Never a fan of bubbling in Scantrons on the account of his multisyllabic name, Benjamin Morrison is an Athens, GA native who graduated from Clarke Central High School and headed to the Blue Ridge Mountains to Appalachian State University, where he studied Interdisciplinary Studies and climbed up peaks and skied down them for hourly credit. Morrison's love affair with mountains only grew as he began working in national parks across the country and traveling extensively stateside and internationally. He started in education with statewide testing assessments and being a Scoring Director for GA Milestones, until he became a Social Studies teacher with Donovan. With any given break, Morrison is sure to be hiking or traveling somewhere. While at Donovan, though, he teaches all levels of History, from Ancient times with 9th graders to AP World and US Histories with 10th and 11th graders, respectively. Morrison brings a passionate and spiritual candor to his lectures and topics in class, inviting discussions on the justifications of war and pulling different perspectives from the world’s cultures and religions.
