A little bit about Ms. Conti
Anna Conti, a local resident of the Athens area, has been teaching Latin at Donovan Catholic School since 2017. She studied Latin, Classical Culture, and Ancient Greek at the University of Georgia, and went on to earn her master’s degree in these areas after working as a long-term sub at Donovan in 2015. Her final project for her master’s degree involved creating an intermediate reader about Roman women. In her upper level Latin courses, Mrs. Conti introduces students to a variety of authors, including Catullus, Livy, Caesar, Vergil, and even Sulpicia, a female poet. Using the reading method, Mrs. Conti teaches students across all levels, beginning with the basics and progressing to reading and interpreting original Latin texts. In her spare time, she plays the harp and piano.
