A little bit about Mr. Jones

This year Mr. Jones is teaching courses in British Literature, World Literature, American Literature and AP English Language & Composition. He is also the Test Prep Coordinator and Spring Literary Coordinator. 

He holds a BA in English from the University of Georgia, and he received his MAT in English / Education from Piedmont University. He completed his AP certification in Dallas, Texas in 2015, and is also an AP Reader for the College Board. This will be his 14th year as a high school teacher. 

Mr. Jones believes that reading and the love of literature can transform the lives of students, and that all students are capable of success in English class. On top of that, he believes that success in English class will help in nearly all future endeavors. 

When he’s not spending time with the Norton Anthology of American Literature, he enjoys spending time outdoors, playing guitar, and hanging out with his family around Athens. You’ll probably see them out and about sometime. Come say hello!
